2015 EuroNGOs International Conference

Oslo, 3-4 November, hosted by Sex og Politikk

The 2015 EuroNGOs conference, titled 'Sexual and reproductive health and rights in the post-2015 agenda and beyond: mapping the way forward' was hosted by our  member Sex og Politikk The Norwegian Association for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights in Oslo, on 3-4 November.

As the first major civil society-led convening event following the adoption of the post-2015 development agenda, the EuroNGOs International Conference contributed to the discussion and identified ways in which sexual and reproductive health and rights advocates can work together within the new agenda, while also pushing for the expansion of the components of the SRHR envelope that have been left aside.

The conference was attended by 160 EuroNGOs members and partners, activists, policy makers and like-minded stakeholders from across the world working on sexual and reproductive health and rights. External experts and leading thinkers from outside the SRHR community were invited to provide additional stimuli and new perspectives.

Programme

The 2015 Conference focused on how civil society can contribute to, and work with, the new post-2015 agenda as well as promote issues that have been left out or only marginally positioned, with a specific focus on sexual and reproductive rights.
