AIDOS film on FGM wins the first prize as short documentary at FESPACO.
AIDOS won the first prize in the short documentary category at FESPACO, the Panafrican Film and Television Festival held in Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso).
The film “Against All Odds” narrates the story of Charity, who, at 12 years old, was the first girl in her village to say no to FGM.
The film was produced in the framework of the “Building Bridges between Africa and Europe to tackle FGM” project supported by the UNFPA/UNICEF Joint Programme to Eliminate Female Genital Mutilation.
